I will respect private property and do no treasure hunting without the owners permission.

I will appreciate and protect our heritage of natural resources, wildlife, and private property.

I will use thoughtfulness, consideration, and courtesy at all times.

I will build fires in designated or safe places only.

I will fill all excavations.

I will leave gates as found.

I will remove and properly dispose of any trash that i find.

I will not litter.

I will not destroy property, buildings, or what is left of  deserted structures.

I will not tamper with signs, structural facilities, or equipment.

This is a friend of mine, just for the sake of argument we'll call him Joe. Joe and I thought we would check it out just to prove a point, and see what was really in the ground. We weren't going to stay long because it was the end of the day and we had already hunted for 5 hours somewhere else. Dispite all the tree's and thorns, Joe doesn't seem to mind too much : )

Turns out the first thing Joe digs is a colonial convex button with a bent shank. Remarkable...and to think, with all those tree's and thorns.
