Our club is making the best effort to have a fun and worthwhile hunt for attendees.
Why October 2, a Sunday?
Available date at the site.
Why has the price gone up?
Increased prices continuing since 2020 for use of the facilities; processing fees; silver prices. Gold coin (3rd) hunt. Arrangement costs have nearly doubled
What is different this year?
By request of former attendees, we are seeding with large amounts of silver. Money spent on equipment and tools will be spent on silver coins in our budget.
We are limiting the number of full day hunters to 100 . If we do not have 100 hunters we will allow walk-ins on Oct 2 at a higher fee. You can figure out the odds yourself. Only at most 100 hunters, 650+ silver coins, the chance to find gold.
Will there still be other prizes other than silver coins?
We are planning on a few donated prizes. Tokens will be in the ground in both sessions exchangeable for collectable and valued coins that should not be tossed in the sand.
Another addition is a number of Morgan Silver Dollars donated from a life member.
Hunters who find a special token in the afternoon hunt will be eligible to enter the 2PM gold coin hunt.
Will there still be silver raffles?
Our usual silver raffles are planned.
What is the 3rd hunt at 2 PM, how do I qualify?
Tokens buried in the hunt field will qualify you for the 2PM Gold Coin Hunt. If you find more than one you may give it to another hunter.
